SEGMENT #1 -  "NewsWrap": Human Rights Watch details the horrifyingly-murderous campaign of "sexual cleansing" by fundamentalist Muslim militia against gay men – or those perceived to be – in Iraq; an ultra-ra-Orthodox Jewish writer in Israel calls for child sexual abuse charges against the managers of Tel Aviv's LGBT Center; the National Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gives its blessing to monogamously-partnered gay clergy; protests expand over the harassment of kissing same-gender couples in several U.S. cities; the judge hearing a federal challenge to California's Proposition 8 rejects motions by two LGBT legal advocacy groups and the ACLU to intervene, and sets a trial date of January 11th; Anchorage, Alaska Mayor Dan Sullivan vetoes an LGBT anti-bias bill, while voters in Kalamazoo, Michigan will decide on a similar anti-bias ordinance in November; and a woman is heavily fined for harassing her gay neighbor in what is believed to be a first-of-its-kind legal victory in Poland (written by GREG GORDON, with thanks to REX WOCKNER with BILL KELLEY, and reported this week by LEIGH MOORE and MICHELE PLEASANT). . . . . . . . .  10:24
